DIY•Painted Mugs

I am so happy. As I have already said my sharpies came on Saturday morning! I had a ball the rest of the day. I dragged my boyfriend to go to Target with me and buy all the drinkware! Then I scoured the Internet (a.k.a. Pinterest) to find an inspiration for the designs. We got home at about 3 and I didn't look at the clock again until about 11. I love decorating!

I haven't baked them yet. But according to Pinterest I should let them set for 48-72 hours, put them in a cold oven, set to 425 degrees, bake for an hour, and then leave it in the oven until completely cooled. Since I just decorated these yesterday I am going to wait til tomorrow after work to put them in the oven. I have tried Sharpie mugs before with sharpie pens and it never stays on the mug. So I am hoping that these paint pens work because if they do I am going to go paint pen crazy!! Everything I own will have at least a dot of Sharpie paint pen on it!!

My first mug was a glass mug I decorated with pink and white mandalas. Now that it's done I'm not really a fan, but since the paint doesn't come off I'm stuck with it.

The second one I wanted to make for me to bring to the office. I love Alice in Wonderland so of course I had to make the cute glass mug with "Drink Me" on the side.

Since Father's Day is in June, I wanted to make my dad a mug. So of course my go to present for my dad is either Star Wars or the Bruins. So I make him a Star Wars mug.

I made four more mugs that I love! One looks likes Kate spade mug, another looks like tye dye, one looks kind of like a basket weave (not really), a silver one has mermaid scales, and then of course I had to have a mug with a Doctor Who Quote.
